The opening of the first Finderrance welcome center

Building a reception center has always been one of the objectives of our association. We had no plans to open this drop-in center this year. However, in an emergency, we wanted to take a first action to arm our main action.

A PROBLEM OF TRANSPORT FOR COLLEGES

The orphans we support and who are in college faced a real transportation problem. Indeed, in all the villages and camps where we operate, primary schools are generally close to the center of the village.

But when the children go to college, they have to go to Ouragahio. They take a long walk, or for those who can, take the bus to get there.

As the bus is a luxury, despite its low price of 500 CFA francs, most orphans get up early to walk to get to school on time.

A CENTER TO PALLERATE THIS PROBLEM OF TRANSPORT

At first, we decided to finance the transportation of middle school students. Today, faced with the urgency of the need, we opened our first reception center. Its capacity is, for the moment, of 14 places. It is a large house that we rented with several large bedrooms, a large breakfast area and a courtyard. We have refurbished the house so that it can accommodate decently.

In this reception center, we only welcome middle school students. This rental is located in Ouragahio.

OUR OBJECTIVE: BUILD A RECEPTION CENTER THAT CAN RECEIVE 200 ORPHANS

The goal is to build a center with a capacity of 200 orphans in Ouragahio, which can accommodate middle and high school students. Our desire to ensure that students who pass high schools can complete their education in Gagnoa.
